My name is Gary Chappelle. My wife Deb and I have been in the network marketing sphere since 2008 and been successful in several different companies over the years. We’ve learned a lot over that time about how to build a successful network marketing business. We’ve also learned how to have spectacular failures! The truth is that there are a lot of ups and downs in network marketing, and anybody who tells you different is likely not telling you the full story.
We’ve been in companies where we’ve had our downline (team members) moved to someone else. We’ve had commissions not paid. Companies have gone out of business or changed ownership. And we’ve had our upline quit and go to another company trying to take their team (and consequently ours) to another company.
It sounds horrible and it is. But I still wouldn’t trade network marketing for a 9 to 5 job.
When you find a great company that has a valuable product(s), terrific leadership. and pays top commissions, the rewards just can’t be beat.
You get to fire your boss, name your own hours, and spend time doing the things that you want to do with whomever and wherever you choose. And as long as you have a laptop or phone and a wireless connection, you can pretty much run your business from anywhere in the world. It truly can be “the laptop lifestyle”.
Yeah, that’s me, sailing in the Virgin Islands which is one of our favorite places to go. But guess what? We can afford to do that because our network marketing business runs 24/7 whether we’re working on the computer, or sailing the Sir Francis Drake channel in the Caribbean. That’s the beauty of network marketing. And when we’re taking a break from sailing or laying out on a beach somewhere, we can pick up my phone and check on our business, answer emails or message people on social media.
Now, we’re not here to tell you that building a network marketing business is easy, especially in the beginning. We stumbled around for years before we finally learned some techniques for growing our business. And we’re not here to tell you that we have all the secrets. We’re attempted a lot of techniques that have appeared to work for others but we simply fell flat on our faces when we tried them. We simply want to share some things we have found works for us. And…
